Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center resolves the conflict between what you want your dog to do (or not do) and your dog's natural instincts.
There are no "bad" behaviors. Nature is already perfect in its design. There are only behaviors that do not fit in well with our ideals of domestication.
It is important to appreciate from a dog's point of view (to walk a mile in their "paws" so to speak) the great adjustment they are required to make in adapting to our world. They deserve our very best efforts in understanding, patience and kindness in helping them make this transition.
Most unwanted behaviors are the result of our failure to meet needs that are necessary to the proper evolution of the species. If your goal is a robotic obedience to your every command, or a dog who listens because he wants the treat, you've come to the wrong place. The Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center offers Problem Behavior Solving and Puppy and Basic Obedience using gentle, calming methods that go beyond the principles of positive reinforcement and strive toward "obedience" and/or behavioral goals through clear communication, understanding and a relationship of mutual respect between dog and owner. Discover the joy of training methods that help build your dog's confidence and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. If an approach isn't condusive to increasing your dog's self confidence and strengthening the bond between you and your dog it ISN'T used.
The Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center offers an idiographic, canine centered approach to your dog's well being - addressing all of his needs from health and nutrition to emotional well being and environment. It is only through a holistic approach to dog training that you will have a happy dog who is well adjusted to domesticated life.
In an effort to certify its dog trainers with an organization that reflects its holistic principles the Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center is in the process of developing its own not for profit certification council. All dog training services offered by the Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center will be provided in accordance with the standards of care and practice of this proprietary certification council - the Holistic Dog Training Certification Council (HDTCC). The Holistic Dog Training Certification Council (HDTCC) is an organization dedicated to raising the bar in dog trainer certification to include a more idiographic, canine centered and holistic approach in working with dogs and their owners. Any dog trainer with the Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center will be certified by the Holistic Dog Training Certification Council.
In accordance with the above principles the Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center also offers holistic pet services in Queens, NY including dog walking and pet sitting. The dog walking and pet sitting services are available in the Maspeth, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Woodside, Sunnyside and Long Island City sections of Queens.
The Dog Walking and Pet Sitting services provided through Holistic Dog Training and Behavior Center are a member and bonded and insured by Pet Sitters Associates, LLC and Certified in Pet CPR, First Aid and Safety by the American Red Cross of Greater New York.
All our dog walkers are dog trainers and are trained in our proprietary holistic approach to dog walking. All our pet sitters have extensive experience in preparing and feeding holistic diets and administering holistic remedies. Every interaction with your pet will stem from a solid holistic foundation.
